About the Teacher

Hello Lions! I'm Mrs. Torrico and I am very excited to be working with you this year. I loved literature and writing as a student, so I am very happy to be teaching ELA! I obtained my bachelor's degree from Cal State Fullerton and then earned my teaching credential through Hope International University. Now I live in El Monte with my husband, Will and our one-year old son, Josiah.

My desire to be a teacher stems from working with children as a youth sports coach; I coached volleyball, basketball, softball, and soccer for over ten years. I mostly worked with 5th and 6th graders, so I look forward to continue working with middle school.

My prayer for this year is that we will will ignite a passion for God and His wisdom as we add to our toolbox of skills as lifelong learners. I can't wait to meet you all and have an awesome year!

The best way to contact me is through my school email: deannt@wateroflifecs.org. Monday through Friday I will respond within 24 hours.
